How do I stop Linus responding too quickly?

Written steps

1. Go back to the folder screen.
2. Tap the Settings icon in the top right-hand corner.
3. Tap Playback Settings.
4. Find Response Time.
5. Move the slider to the right.
6. Choose the delay you want.
7. Return to your scene and test the timing.

Response Time options

0 seconds

Use 0 seconds if you want Linus to respond as soon as it is their turn to speak.

1 second

Use 1 second if you want Linus to wait briefly before saying the next line.

2 seconds

Use 2 seconds if you want more breathing room before Linus responds.

When should I use Response Time?

Use Response Time if:

• Linus is responding too quickly after your line
• you want more breathing room between lines
• the scene feels rushed
• you want the reader to feel more natural
• you need extra time before the next character speaks

What if the actual line is too fast?

If the spoken line itself is too fast, use Adjust Speed or Line Read instead.

Response Time changes the pause before Linus speaks.

Adjust Speed changes how fast a line is spoken.

Line Read lets you guide the rhythm, pauses, and delivery of a specific line.
