How do I change speech recognition settings?

- Go back to the folder screen.
- Tap the Settings icon in the top right-hand corner.
- Tap Playback Settings.
- Scroll down to Speech Recognition.
- Choose On-device or Cloud.
What’s the difference?
On-device
On-device speech recognition works on your device.
It is usually:
- faster
- more private
- available without internet
Cloud
Cloud speech recognition uses an internet connection.
It may be:
- more accurate
- better for some accents, words, or languages
- slightly slower depending on your connection
Cloud speech recognition requires internet to work properly.
Which one should I use?
Start with On-device if it is working well for you.
Try Cloud if Linus is having trouble picking up your lines or if speech recognition feels less accurate than expected.
