How do I change the cue word?

Written steps

  1. Open your scene.
  2. Tap Run Lines from the Scene Menu.
  3. Find the line you want to adjust.
  4. Look for the word highlighted in orange.
  5. Tap a different word in your line.
  6. Check that the new word turns orange.
  7. Try the line again.

What is a cue word?

The cue word is the word Linus listens for before moving forward to the next line.

In Run Lines, the cue word is highlighted in orange.

When you tap a different word in your line, that word becomes the new cue word.

How do I choose a good cue word?

Choose a word that is:

  • clear
  • easy to say
  • not too short
  • not swallowed or rushed
  • close to the end of the line, but not always the final word

When should I change the cue word?

Change the cue word if:

  • Linus is not moving forward
  • Linus keeps getting stuck on the same line
  • the highlighted word is hard to pronounce
  • the highlighted word is too quiet
  • the line is long and Linus is waiting too late
