How do I loop a section?

To loop the full scene

  1. Open your scene.
  2. Go to Run Lines or Table Read.
  3. Swipe up from the bottom to open the control panel.
  4. Tap Loop.
  5. Press Play.

When Loop is on, the scene will repeat until you stop it.

To select a section

  1. Go to Run Lines or Table Read.
  2. Find the line where you want the section to begin.
  3. Swipe right on that line.
  4. Tap the orange arrow pointing right to set the start point.
  5. Find the line where you want the section to end.
  6. Swipe right on that line.
  7. Tap the orange arrow pointing left to set the end point.

Linus will now run only that selected section.

To loop the selected section

  1. Set your start and end points.
  2. Swipe up from the bottom to open the control panel.
  3. Tap Loop.
  4. Check that Loop is highlighted orange.
  5. Press Play.

The selected section will keep repeating until you stop it.

To change the start or end point

  1. Find the new line you want to use.
  2. Swipe right on that line.
  3. Tap the orange arrow pointing right to set a new start point.
  4. Tap the orange arrow pointing left to set a new end point.

To clear the selected section

  1. Swipe right on either the current start or end point.
  2. Tap the red reset button.
  3. Return to the full scene.

Linus will go back to running the full scene as normal.

When should I use this?

Use section looping when you want to:

  • drill one part of a scene
  • repeat a tricky exchange
  • practise a section before moving on
  • work on cue timing
  • rehearse a beat without running the whole scene
