What is Table Read?

Written steps

1. Open the scene you want to listen to.
2. Tap Table Read from the Scene Menu.
3. Choose your playback pattern if you want to change how the scene is read.
4. Press Play.
5. Listen to the scene being read aloud.
6. Use the gaps to repeat your lines back if you want to practise.

What is Table Read useful for?

Use Table Read when you want to:

• listen to your scene being read aloud
• learn the rhythm of the dialogue
• hear the other characters’ lines
• practise your own lines with gaps
• keep working on the scene while walking, cleaning, travelling, or doing something else
• get familiar with the scene before using Run Lines or Self Tape

How does Table Read work?

Table Read reads your scene aloud so you can listen, follow along, or practise by hearing the dialogue.

You can use different playback patterns to choose how your lines are handled, including hearing your line first, leaving a gap before your line, or repeating lines in different ways.
