What do I do if the reader is too loud in my self-tape?

Written steps

  1. Open your scene.
  2. Tap Self Tape from the Scene Menu.
  3. Tap Preview in the bottom left-hand corner.
  4. Open the take where the reader sounds too loud.
  5. Tap the three-star icon to open Linus Studio.
  6. Find Reader Volume.
  7. Lower the reader volume.
  8. Tap Apply.
  9. Play the tape back from the start.
  10. Adjust again if the reader is still too loud.
  11. Tap Done when you are happy with the balance.

What should I listen for?

The reader should be clear enough for the scene to work, but not so loud that it overpowers your voice.

Try to find a balance where:

  • your voice is easy to hear
  • the reader is still clear
  • the scene sounds natural
  • the reader does not distract from your performance

Important

Tap Apply after each change.

Then play the tape back from the start so you can hear the updated audio properly.
