How do I remove a character from a scene?

Written steps

1. Open your scene.
2. Go to the Scene Menu.
3. Scroll down to Characters.
4. Find the character you want to remove.
5. Tap the three dots beside the character’s name.
6. Tap Delete.
7. Confirm that you want to remove the character.

Important

Deleting a character will also remove the lines assigned to that character.

Only delete a character if you’re sure you don’t need them or their lines in the scene.

When should I delete a character?

Delete a character if:

• they do not need to be in the scene
• they were added by mistake
• Linus detected a character that should not be there
• you do not need any of their lines for Run Lines, Self Tape, or Table Read

What if a line is assigned to the wrong character?

If the issue is that a line has been assigned to the wrong person, you may not need to delete the character.

Instead, edit the line and assign it to the correct character.
