How do languages, accents, and voice options work?

Written steps

  1. Upload your script.
  2. Wait while Linus detects the language of the script.
  3. Go to the voice selection step.
  4. Choose from the available voice options for that language.
  5. Adjust the available settings, such as dialect, gender, age, or style.
  6. Tap the play button to preview the voice.
  7. Choose the voice that works best for the character.

Why do the voice options change?

Voice options depend on the language of your script.

For English scripts, you may see dialect or accent options such as American, British, or Australian, depending on what is available.

For other languages, Linus will show the voices available for that language. These options may be organised by gender, age, and style rather than the same dialect options you see for English.

Can Linus voices speak other languages?

Yes. Linus can support scripts in different languages and will show voice options based on the language it detects in your script.

For example, if your script is written in Spanish, French, or Italian, Linus will show voice options available for that language.

What if the accent or language I want is not available?

If there is a language, accent, or voice type you’d like us to add, contact us through Live Chat in Linus or email [email protected] and let us know what you’d like to hear.
