How do I choose voices for characters?

To choose voices during upload

1. Upload your script.
2. Select the character you’re playing.
3. Go to Brief Your Reader.
4. Choose voice settings for the other characters.
5. Adjust the dialect, gender, age, and style.
6. Tap the play button to preview the voice.
7. Keep adjusting the voice until it feels right for the scene.
8. Tap Start Rehearsing when you’re ready.

To choose or change voices after upload

1. Open your scene.
2. Go to the Scene Menu.
3. Find the character whose voice you want to choose or change.
4. Tap the three dots beside the character’s name.
5. Adjust the voice settings.
6. Tap the play button to preview the voice.
7. Save or continue once you’re happy.

Voice settings

Dialect

Use Dialect to choose the accent or regional sound of the voice.

Gender

Use Gender to choose the gender profile for the voice.

Age

Use Age to choose the age range of the voice.

Style

Use Style to choose the overall feel or variation of the voice.

Important note

For some larger or full-script uploads, voices may need to be selected during the upload process and may not be editable later.
