I don’t like how the voice sounds. What can I do?
What can I try?
There are two main ways to improve how a character’s line sounds.
Option 1: Use Line Read
Use Line Read if you want to show Linus exactly how you want the line to be performed.
You record the line yourself, and Linus uses your performance as a guide while keeping the selected character voice.
This is usually the best option if you want the reader to sound more natural, specific, or closer to the rhythm you have in mind.
Option 2: Use Enhance
Use Enhance if you want to type performance direction for the line.
You can add direction like:
- angry
- curious
- flirtatious
- laughing
- crying
- confused
- whispering
- more urgent
This helps guide Linus toward the kind of performance you want.
To use Line Read
- Open your scene.
- Go to Run Lines.
- Find the line you want to change.
- Tap the three dots beside the line.
- Tap Line Read.
- Record the line in the rhythm, accent, and energy you want.
- Save the Line Read.
- Preview the line to check how it sounds.
To use Enhance
- Open your scene.
- Go to Run Lines.
- Find the line you want to direct.
- Tap the three dots beside the line.
- Tap Enhance.
- Add the direction you want Linus to follow.
- Save the update.
- Preview the line to check how it sounds.
Important note
Enhance is a Premium feature and is still being improved.
If it doesn’t respond exactly how you expect, contact us through Live Chat in Linus or email [email protected] so we can keep improving it.
