What does Table Read do?

1. Open your scene from your folder screen.
2. Tap Table Read from the Scene Menu.
3. Press Play to start listening to your script read aloud.
4. Listen while following along, using other apps, or keeping your phone locked.
5. Swipe up from the bottom to open the control panel if you want more options.
6. Use playback patterns if you want to hear your lines in different ways while learning.
7. Turn on Mute My Lines in Advanced Settings if you want to test yourself without hearing your own lines.

When should I use Table Read?

Use Table Read when you want to:

• listen to your script
• hear the rhythm of a scene
• learn lines by listening
• follow along without rehearsing out loud
• play your script while walking, driving, cleaning, or doing something else
• listen while your phone is locked
• repeat a scene or section
• test yourself by muting your own lines

Can I use Table Read offline?

Yes, but make sure you open the script in Table Read and press Play before going offline.

This allows Linus to load the voices for that script before you lose internet connection.

Can I mute my own lines?

Yes.

1. Open Table Read.
2. Swipe up from the bottom to open the control panel.
3. Go to Advanced Settings.
4. Tap Mute My Lines.

This lets you listen to the rest of the scene while leaving your own lines out.

Important note

Table Read is designed for rehearsing and listening to the parts of the script that involve your character.

If your character does not appear within the next 20 lines of a section, that part of the script may only be available as a read-only preview.

Linus is built as a rehearsal and self-tape tool, rather than a full-script audiobook player, so Table Read is focused on the sections that are most relevant to your role.
