How do I upload tricky PDFs or scanned scripts?
Written steps
- Tap Upload from your folder screen.
- Select your PDF script from your files.
- Choose the pages you want to upload.
- Open Advanced Options before uploading.
- Turn on Convert PDF Pages to Images.
- Tap Upload Selected.
- Wait while Linus processes the pages as images.
- Select the character you’re playing.
- Choose voices for the other characters.
- Continue into your scene.
What counts as a tricky PDF?
Some scripts are harder for Linus to read than others.
This can include scripts that are:
- scanned
- photographed
- photocopied
- watermarked
- formatted unusually
- missing selectable text
- split across unusual page layouts
These scripts can still work in Linus, but they may need Convert PDF Pages to Images to help Linus read them more accurately.
Can I upload scanned scripts?
Yes. Scanned scripts can work as long as they are saved as a PDF.
This includes scripts that were scanned, photographed, photocopied, or typed out and exported as a PDF.
